INA students at Ronnie Scotts

On Sunday around 20 INA students were rewarded for all their hard work and commitment to the Big Band project by the amazing opportunity to attend a workshop with a professional saxophonist and the Artistic Director at the world-famous Jazz Club, Ronnie Scotts! Not only did they benefit from her teaching and guidance in the practice session, but they then got to perform as the show opener in the evening on the main stage of the club in front of a packed house of jazz lovers. The band played three tunes that comprised of Splankly, Ain't Nobody and C Jam Blues, a piece in which they learned on the day!

This was an awesome experience. I think the staff and parents who attended were as excited as the students, and I know that we will remember the occasion for many years to come. Well done to all the performers: you made us very proud. And huge thanks to Ms Morten, MR Coughlin and Mr Robinson.
