Computer science drives today’s fundamental technologies. It is our aim at Isaac Newton Academy to provide all students with an understanding of the fundamental principles of computer science through a broad and balanced programme of study. This programme of study focuses on the three main areas of Computer Science, Information Technology and Digital Literacy. By delivering a rich curriculum that will enable our students to create innovative solutions to real world problems and inspires them to take a place at the forefront of an ever-changing digital world, we hope to provide all students with the tools necessary to progress into further education and beyond.

In Years 7 and 8, we use a combination of cross-curricular teaching and drop down sessions.

In Year 9, students are taught Computing through discrete lessons as part of a carousel with ADT.
