An Introduction to Isaac Newton Academy’s New Principal
A new principal has been appointed at Isaac Newton Academy. Mr Morgan Haines will join the school in September. Mr Haines is currently Principal of City Heights Academy, a secondary academy in Tulse Hill. Prior to City Heights, Mr Haines was Associate Principal at Ark Globe, an all-through school within the Ark Network. Mr Haines joined Teach First as a History graduate and started his teaching career in Enfield.
Having spent more than a decade as a senior leader, a large portion of this within an all-through school, Mr Haines brings a wealth of experience to the role, and is well placed to build on the successes already enjoyed by INA. He is committed to delivering the highest quality education to all the students in his care.
Mr Haines said: “I am really excited to be back at Ark and particularly about joining the INA family. I look forward to helping nurture excellence in all areas of academy life, from reception to university, and leading INA to continued successes for its community.”
Jerry Collins, Ark Schools Regional Director said: “I am delighted Morgan is returning to Ark Schools and to Isaac Newton Academy in particular. Morgan will bring a clarity of vision and insistence on the highest quality provision that will serve Isaac Newton, its pupils and its staff very well in the months and years to come. I look forward to working with him.”
Gerard Griffin, Chair of Governors had this to say: “Morgan combines all the attributes one could seek in a school leader. An excellent teacher and mentor, with a real warmth of character, Morgan manifests above all a passion for learning. His appointment as principal at INA is very good news, particularly now in this otherwise difficult time.”
