Sixth Form

Welcome
Assistant Principal - Sixth Form

Welcome

Welcome to Ark INA Sixth Form, where students are inspired and guided to reach their greatest potential.

Our goal is to develop students’ knowledge, professionalism and independence to enable them to become powerful advocates for social justice within the INA community and beyond it, as part of a legacy of pioneers who will positively change the world around them.

To accomplish this, we set our sights on places at the top universities and top apprenticeships and work hard with our students throughout the journey to achieve these.

Ofsted Outstanding rated teaching is one of the main drivers of our students’ success. Our teachers are experts in their subjects and use this to challenge students’ thinking. We know that “memory is the residue of thought” (Daniel Willingham); true understanding of a subject can only be achieved by creating the conditions for students to think hard in the classroom and through directed independent learning. Our INA Sixth Form students thrive on this rigour and enjoy the opportunity to achieve mastery in the subjects they have chosen to study.

Outside the classroom, our young people are given access to opportunities, experiences, and networks with those at the very top of their professions. Our students are encouraged to go for the best universities and apprenticeships and these enriching experiences help them to understand the reality of those goals and the steps needed to achieve them.

A rising tide lifts all boats. Underpinning everything we do in INA’s Sixth Form is a culture of high expectations. Our staff and young people recognise that when the tide rises, all the boats go up. Students continually set high standards for themselves and their peers. In doing so, they develop their own leadership qualities and encourage others to continually grow.

We are a successful and encouraging place to study for students with the right ambition and intention. If you would like to join this movement then register your interest and join us in 2023.

I look forward to meeting you.
