In recent years, more and more students at INA are taking up the opportunity to start their careers with a degree-level apprenticeship, choosing to go straight into work at some of this country’s top firms whilst still studying part-time. Our students receive a high-degree of exposure and support for this pathway, through our careers curriculum in Sixth Form, which combines guidance, application support, interview preparation, mentoring and frequent opportunities to meet employers to ensure that students are in the best position to be successful in their applications. Places on these programmes are highly sought after and are extremely competitive, so it is a huge credit to our students who manage to get a place. Two of these students who will be starting an apprenticeship in September are:

Zara Butt will be working for Grant Thornton, having achieved AAA in Economics, Politics and Sociology. She said, “unexpected, but I am really happy with my results”

Navrajdeep Singh will be working for KPMG, having achieved A*AB in Economics, Maths and Physics. He said, “I am grateful to all my peers and teachers for supporting me in my subjects. I cannot wait to embark on my journey at my apprenticeship”

We talk regularly about the value of professionalism at INA and these three students, alongside a number of others taking up apprenticeships at top firms, have demonstrated this extensively in their approach to their academics and their future career prospects. We will watch with pride to see how their first step in their careers unfolds and wish them the best of luck.
