Today was a joyous occasion, as we celebrated in the successes of our outgoing Year 13 students and their exceptional achievements in their A Level and BTEC courses.
Our students and our Sixth Form provision continues to go from strength to strength – our results last year were the 42nd highest progress school nationally, but our students this year have achieved the best results at KS5 in the academy’s history. Since 2020, there has been significant changes across our Sixth form provision, which has led to rapidly rising academic outcomes. Since Summer 2023:
- The percentage of students achieving A+ has gone from 19% to 38%
- The percentage of students achieving B+ has gone from 52% to 82%
- The percentage of students achieving C+ has gone from 74% to 97%
We are really proud of the efforts of our students and staff to achieve such a fantastic set of outcomes – achieving such grades has meant that students in Year 13 have now earned places at transformational destinations across the country, such as Oxford and LSE, as well as highly competitive degree-apprenticeships at major international firms such as KPMG and IBM. It is with great pleasure that we can share with you some of these successes:
Oxbridge success
We secured three Oxford places this year, such as Lucy Jacobson and Eshal Siddique. Lucy will be studying English and Eshal will be studying History. A huge congratulations to them for this significant achievement.
Students achieve top grades in their A Level courses
Zaahira Tahir and Ishak Nekili both achieved 3A* in Biology, Chemistry and Maths.
Hayden Pal and Ramisha Islam will both be going straight into the workplace, having successfully secured degree-apprenticeships at KPMG and IBM. These positions are incredibly rare to receive an offer for and it is testament to the hard work of them both in their academics (Hayden achieved AAA and Ramisha ABB), but also in the extensive application processes, that they will start these roles in September. The choice around degree apprenticeships is an increasingly attractive one for our students (and something that is now getting press coverage this summer) – we now have 36 students who have secured an apprenticeship of this kind in the last five years.
The choice to join INA in Year 12 pays off
Each year, a number of our students join us in Year 12, helping to make the community of our Sixth Form a better place. Some of these students who have done exceptionally well are:
Sumayyah Begum and Rachel Marah will both be attending UCL to study Applied Medical Sciences having achieved D*D*D in BTEC Applied Science.
For any students looking to join us in September 2026, the students who make this choice two years ago averaged a B+ and had a progress score that will be in the top 50 in the country
Students in receipt of Ark Bursaries
Sheheryar Bhatti will be attending KCL to study International Relations. He achieved A*AA in Economics, Maths and Psychology. He is the recipient of an Ark bursary which will cover the cost of his accommodation in London for the duration of his course.
Aesha Ahmed will attending Warwick to study Philosophy. She achieved BBB in Economics, History and Politics. She is the recipient of an Ark bursary, which will support with the funding of materials for Aesha to attend university.
Our staff and students are rightly celebrating such a wonderful set of achievements today. This Year 13 cohort have really embraced the idea of our missions to become pioneers and to make a positive impact on the community around them – they have left a legacy of success and an approach to their studies that future year groups can follow and build on. A huge thank you also to the students’ families, and the academy staff, who have worked tirelessly to help them achieve their aspirations.
We wish the Year 13 of 2025-26 the very best of luck as they leave us and start the next part of their lives – we are very proud of what you have achieved and the people you have become.
